Verdict and Jury Prejudice
The Jury deliberated and ruled in Scheller’s favor. The Judge appeared surprised when the Jury’s verdict was read.
How could the Jury have ignored so much evidence? They gave no explanation, as they were not obliged to. We can only surmise that the negative testimony of the police officer, and Dr. Zierk influenced the Jury to set aside the testimony they heard.
In the end, the victim was seen as the perpetrator, and perpetrator was seen as the victim. We hope that sharing this experience will help others avoid this kind of injustice.
Perhaps some readers have suffered that same kind of injustice. We invite to share your experiences with others.
